The Argentine forward earned a place among the top goals from August thanks to his strike with wicked in-swinging corner against Nîmes Olympique.
In the first month back, Ligue 1 Conforama has already been lit up by some spectacular action, with an average of 2.73 goals per match! And among the 109 goals scored since OM-Toulouse kicked the campaign off on 10 August, there were plenty of memorable strikes - notably 'that' goal from Angel Di Maria (PSG), who fooled everyone but most of all Nîmeskeeper Paul Bernardoni as he curled a wicked shot in direct from a corner. The Argentine's cheeky effort marked the first strike direct from a corner in Ligue 1 Conforama since Rachid Ghezzal did so for OL in 2016.
Mbappé hits top gear!
PSG also provided another one of August's most stunning strikes, and this superb goal came from the same match! The 4-2 away win for the capital club was marked by Kylian Mbappé's pace and precision, the recently crowned World Cup winner racing onto a fine pass from France teammate Presnel Kimpembe and lashing home on the volley. But Nîmes weren't to be outdone, Antonin Bobichon replying with a clinical curler from the edge of the area that left Alphonse Areola no chance.
Depay day!
But on top of these three strikes, there was also Memphis Depay's perfectly executed free-kick against Amiens SC in Olympique Lyonnais' first home game of the season at the Groupama Stadium. Amiens were also on the wrong end of another of the month's finest strikes a week alter, when Montpellier's Florent Mollet conjured a stunning strike - his first for his new club since a summer move from FC Metz.
