LOSC have travelled to Bordeaux for a crucial game in the relegation battle on Saturday without goalkeeper Mike Maignan.

Accepting that big decisions need to be made to shake his team into life, coach Christophe Galtier has dropped Maignan from his squad for the game at the Matmut Atlantique. Burkina Faso international Hervé Koffi is set to start, making just his second Ligue 1 Conforama appearance, with Adam Jakubech also in the squad.

The only game that former Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Maignan, 22, has missed prior to this weekend came in August, when he was suspended.

Galtier's decision comes with Lille in the relegation zone, two points from outright safety. They are eight games without a win after last week's 1-0 loss at home to Amiens SC.

"Losing against Amiens shows the reality of the situation. We are in our place, and there are four teams fighting to stay up. We will have to do better than Metz, Troyes or Toulouse," said Galtier this week.
