Toulouse FC have announced the dismissal of coach Antoine Kombouaré in the wake of the club's Coupe de France elimination at the hands of amateurs Saint-Pryvé-Saint-Hilaire.
Antoine Kombouaré has been dismissed as coach of Toulouse FC. He has been replaced - at least provisionally - by Denis Zanko, who has been heading up the club's youth academy, the Toulouse club announced in a statement on Sunday morning.
A string of poor results
Former PSG, Valenciennes and Lens boss Kombouaré had arrived in mid-October to replace Alain Casanova, but ended up paying the price for the team's run of ten defeats - the worst in the club's history - including Saturday's elimination by amateur club Saint-Pryvé-Saint-Hilaire in the Coupe de France round of 64. (1-0).
Toulouse FC, who play host to 15th-placed Stade Brestois 29 in Week 20 action on Saturday, currently sit at the foot of the Ligue 1 Conforama table, level with Nîmes Olympique on 12 points.
