Bouna Sarr has signed a two-year contract extension with Olympique de Marseille, tying him to the Ligue 1 Conforama club until 2022.
Sarr has been successfully converted from an attacking midfielder to an effective right-back by OM boss Rudi Garcia, and has been rewarded for his displays with a new deal.
"It's a great victory for me to have changed people's opinions," Sarr, who had originally signed a five-year deal when he arrived at Marseille from Metz in 2015. "I want to do this long term, to participate in OM's new project."
Sarr, who is expected to be in the Marseille line-up for Thursday's UEFA Europa League semi-final second leg, has played 26 Ligue 1 Conforama games this season, providing two assists.
