Saint-Etienne have announced that they are not signing Serbian defender Stefan Mitrovic from Gent because of "medical reasons".
A club communique stated: "The multiple medical tests undergone by Stefan Mitrovic over the last two days mean that ASSE cannot conclude the player's transfer. The club wishes him a speedy recovery."
Saint-Etienne announced on Friday that they'd reached an agreement with the Belgian club for Mitrovic, who had been due to sign a four-and-a-half year contract.
