Guido Carrillo was the AS Monaco hero as the Ligue 1 Conforama champions kicked off their Coupe de France bid with a 5-2 win at amateur side Yzeure on Saturday.

Carrillo gave the visitors the ideal start by scoring inside the opening minute, but Stevan Jovetic's 38th-minute strike was only good enough to see Leonardo Jardim's men level at the break.

Carillo (49') and then Fabinho from the penalty spot (54') gave Monaco breathing space before Carillo found the net once more late on (83') to take the top-flight side through.

LOSC Lille gave new coach Christophe Galtier a winning start as they saw off fourth-tier Le Mans 4-2. Early goals from Ezequiel Ponce (8') and Nicolas Pépé (13') gave the visitors an early cushion, but the hosts levelled before the half-hour mark (29'). Ponce (33') however restored their lead soon after, though they were not comfortable until Thiago Mendes struck five minutes into added time at the end of the game (90+5').

Olympique Lyonnais were almost notable fallers at the Round of 64 hurdle as they just squeezed past AS Nancy Lorraine 3-2 in dramatic fashion.

Nabil Fekir (25') put the top-flight visitors ahead, but two goals in four minutes from Antony Robic (71' pen.) and Arnaud Nordin (75'), who is on loan from OL's arch-rivals AS Saint-Etienne, took the second division hosts in front. Marcelo levelled three minutes from time, and with the tie heading for an extra 30 minutes, Maxwel Cornet found the net four minutes into time added on at the end of the game to take OL into the next round.

Toulouse FC avenged their league defeat to OGC Nice in late November with a 1-0 win at home to the visitors from the Mediterranean coast. Somalia took advantage of an error by goalkeeper Yoan Cardinale to sweep home the only goal of the game (51').

Montpellier Hérault SC needed penalties to see off fifth-tier amateurs Pontarlier. Daniel Congré's first-half header (39') put the visitors in front, but the hosts equalised just before the hour mark, and only two misses from the spot in the shoot-out sent the top-flight outfit through.

En Avant Guingamp maintained their 24-year unbeaten run at home thanks to Marcus Coco's 35th-minute winner against Niort. Ronny Rodelin scored the first (27') and then set up Yoël Armougom for the second (82') as SM Caen saw off Hazebrouck.
