Javier Pastore has returned to first-team training with Paris Saint-Germain having missed the capital club's 6-1 win over Stade Rennais FC in the Coupe de France on Sunday due to personal reasons.

The Argentine attacking midfielder had initially been due to return to Paris last Wednesday, and after touching down four days later than expect, he has moved to quell any speculation surrounding the delay.

'I love Paris'

"I love Paris, and I love PSG," said the 28-year-old, who first signed for the capital club from Palermo in 2011. "I'll never do anything bad toward this club, it's like my own family. I had personal issues to deal with. I was the first to believe in this project and they believed in me, I was and I always will be faithful. I won't change.

Pastore, who trained alone on Monday, has featured in 13 of PSG's 19 games this season - five of them from the bench – notching up four goals and an assist as Unai Emery's men have opened up a nine-point lead at the top of the table.
