After picking up a thigh injury in Sunday night's 4-3 win over Bordeaux, Thiago Silva has become Paris Saint-Germain's fourth absentee for the all-important UEFA Champions League last 16 return leg at home to Dortmund.

Things didn't go to plan for Paris as they fell to a 2-1 defeat in Dortmund in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League last 16 tie last Tuesday, and things once again didn't go to plan at home to Bordeaux on Sunday night as captain Thiago Silva picked up a thigh injury that will keep him out of the crunch return leg against Dortmund on 11 March.

The Brazilian stopper has been diagnosed with a hamstring strain that will keep him out of action for three weeks, meaning he will also miss the Round 27 visit of Dijon, the Round 28 trip to Strasbourg and the Coupe de France semi-final away to Olympique Lyonnais.

Meanwhile Spanish utility Ander Herrera will be unavailable for six to eight weeks due to a lesion on his left quadriceps, while Marco Verratti and Thomas Meunier, both of whom picked up yellow cards in the Dortmund defeat, will be suspended for the crucial return leg at the Parc des Princes in a fortnight's time.
