Reims' talented attacking midfielder Arber Zeneli could play his first minutes of the season at Monaco on Saturday evening.
Zeneli suffered a serious knee injury playing for Kosovo last June and has been much missed by the Champagne club. Following 45 minutes for the reserves last weekend, Zeneli is likely to return to first-team action off the bench in the Principality.
Reims coach David Guion said: "I'm still thinking about what to do. He's ready to play but we need to stay prudent because the intensity of a Ligue 1 game is different."
Guion must cope without the injured Kaj Sierhuis and Mathieu Cafaro against a side whose form has picked up of late. Guion said: "They've got back to a position in the table where they should be at the top. They're starting to get some identity back to their play and they're progressing."
