Strasbourg coach Thierry Laurey has signed a one-year extension with his new deal expiring in 2021.
Appointed in 2016, Laurey returned Strasbourg to Ligue 1 Conforama and has succeeded in making them a top division fixture as well as claiming the Coupe de la Ligue in 2019. Laurey has made a habit of penning one-year extensions, having also signed on for an extra 12 months in July 2017 and December 2018.
Laurey is the longest-serving coach in Strasbourg history and club president Marc Keller commented: "We're happy to be carrying on the adventure with Thierry. Just like every year, we saw each other mid-season in order to run through things in cordial fashion. We've always backed him, at good times and at bad times. The outcome of this proves our desire to keep developing the club together."
