A ceremony celebrating the lift of former France coach Michel Hidalgo will be held in Marseille once France ends the lockdown imposed by the coronavirus pandemic.
Hidalgo passed away in the Mediterranean city on Thursday after a long illness. He was 87.
His wife announced the ceremony via a statement.
Hidalgo played for Stade de Reims and AS Monaco, and was France coach for eight years, leading them to the FIFA World Cup semi-finals in 1982 before orchestrating his nation's first major tournament win at UEFA EURO '84.
