Despite being courted by the world's biggest clubs, Rennes' 17-year-old midfield prodigy Eduardo Camavinga is 'not too interested in that', evidently feeling no great urge to leave the Brittany club.
With Europe's biggest clubs - including Real Madrid - after him, Rennes prodigy Eduardo Camavinga is doing his best to stay focused on the football and leave everything else to his management team he told Ouest-France in an interview on Friday.
"It's good to see big clubs like these taking an interest in me, but I'm not too interested in that," said the 17-year-old central midfielder who wowed fans in Rennes, France and around the world with composed and authoritative midfield play that belied his tender years. "Especially as I feel good at Rennes. We'll see what happens next. I'll let my parents and my agents handle it."
What's more, Camavinga helped Rennes to a club-record htird-placed finish in Ligue 1 Conforama, meaning that the Brittany club earned a chance at UEFA Champions League football - via the third-qualifying round and the play-offs - and even though this opportunity decreases even further his chances of leaving Rennes, transfer speculation is still at fever pitch, especially in Spain.

'I can't avoid it'
"I don't look too much, but I still see plenty of talk about me. In fact, I can't avoid it," explained the latest star to emerge from Stade Rennais FC's storied youth academy. "Once, at Amiens in the Coupe de la Ligue BKT (2-3, in December 2019), an opponent told me: 'We have to swap jerseys before you go to Real Madrid'. At the time, I didn't feel like joking, as we'd just been eliminated. But I thought about it afterwards and had a good laugh."
