Andre Villas-Boas will be Olympique de Marseille coach for the 2020-21 season, the Ligue 1 runners-up have confirmed.
Villas-Boas signed a two-year deal with OM in summer 2019, but there had been media speculation in France the former Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur boss might not continue despite leading the club back to the UEFA Champions League group stage by finishing second to Paris Saint-Germain last season.
OM have confirmed, however, that the 42-year-old Portuguese tactician will be taking charge of the team for the campaign to come.
"After a number of exchanges with [Marseille owner] Frank McCourt and [club president] Jacques-Henri Eyraud in recent days, Andre Villas-Boas has confirmed he wants to continue his collaboration with OM for next season," a club statement read.
