Olympique de Marseille president Jacques-Henri Eyraud has said Steve Mandanda, Dimitri Payet and Florian Thauvin will all be part of the club's 2020-2021 Champions League campaign.

The three big names all featured for OM the last time they were in Europe's premier club competition in 2013-2014 and Eyraud told Europe 1 radio on Tuesday morning: "They will be there in the Marseille shirt. The desire is to be as competitive as possible but based on a long-term economic model. We can't invest massively over such a long period. We're in a phase where sporting performance is the priority, but accompanied by a long-term economic model."

World Cup winner Thauvin, who missed most of the 2019-2020 season through injury, is out of contract at the end of June 2021. Mandanda, 35, and Payet, 33, are both hugely influential figures both on and off the pitch.

Eyraud has assured OM fans that despite press speculation there will not be a summer clear out at the Orange Vélodrome: "There won't be big sales at OM," he said. "Over four years there have been massive investments in order to get the club restructured. We haven't done everything right. There have been failures but also successes. The club has got back to the top level of French football and played in a Europa League final. After our third full season, we are back in the Champions League."
