Lens coach Franck Haise has overseen three wins in a row for the promoted club and is delighted with the start to the season.

Following the 2-0 home win over Bordeaux that too, secured by third goals of the season for Ignatius Ganago and Gaël Kakuta, Haise said: "What interests me more than the standings are the three wins in style. Everybody deserves credit for it, but above all the players. We're working hard and well. We have the basis in place.

"Being a perfectionist, I would say that we only have a one goal advantage each time and that we need to improve our chances to goals ratio. Nobody is asking us to score three goals, just one more. That means we have plenty of room to progress. I'm satisfied with the spirit I the squad. A team with more chances wins more often. I prefer to advance, play and create. Being secure means not being attacking and not setting up a battle of forces."

Bordeaux conceded their first goals of the season and coach Jean-Louis Gasset was impressed: "I didn't know we were going to get beaten in the duels and in terms of desire and commitment. They are very well organised, very aggressive and sure of their game. Kakuta and Ganago led us a merry dance and gave the impression of a power that we didn't have. Congratulations to them and good luck for what's to come as they're lads we like a lot."
