Neither Alvaro Gonzalez (OM) nor Neymar (PSG) was sanctioned by the LFP's Disciplinary Committee regarding the Classique at the Parc des Princes in Ligue 1 Uber Eats' Round 3.

Olympique de Marseille and Paris Saint-Germain can now draw a line under the Neymar-Alvaro incident in the tempestuous Classique at the Parc des Princes in Round 3.

Insufficient evidence

"After examining the file and hearing depositions from the players and club representatives, the Committee notes that it does not have sufficient evidence to establish the materiality of alleged discriminatory comments made by Alvaro Gonzalez against Neymar during the match, nor Neymar against Alvaro Gonzalez," the Disciplinary Committee ruled on Wednesday evening.

In other Disciplinary Committee business, PSG captain Marquinhos will be suspended for PSG's trip to Nîmes in Round 7 as a result of receiving a third yellow card over a period of ten official matches. He will, however, be eligible to play on Friday against Angers SCO at the Parc des Princes, his sanction only taking effect from Tuesday, October 6 at 0:00.

Four other players are in the same situation as the Brazilian: Steven Nzonzi (Stade Rennais FC), Facundo Medina (RC Lens), Yvan Neyou (AS Saint-Etienne) and Habib Maïga (FC Metz). Their suspensions will also take effect in Round 7 (weekend of 17-18 October), for an accumulation of yellow cards or by revocation of a suspended ban. This is a hard blow for Medina, who will miss out on a chance to play in the much-anticipated derby between his Sang et Or and bitter rivals LOSC.

Tchouaméni, Disasi suspended

Finally, AS Monaco have copped sanctions against Aurélien Tchouaméni and Axel Disasi, the only two players to have been sent off Ligue 1 Uber Eats' Round 5.
