Rafinha has described the opportunity to join Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona as "incredible" after signing a three-year contract with the Ligue 1 Uber Eats champions.
The Brazil international — who is the younger brother of Liverpool and Spain midfielder Thiago Alcantara — joined the French capital club on deadline day, ending a 14-year association with Barcelona.
"It's an immense joy for me. I had a lot of desire to come when the possibility and opportunity arose and the truth is that being able to realize this moment is incredible. With the nervousness that comes on the last day, signing with a club of this size, I spent the day a little nervous, but with a very happy ending," he told PSG's official website.
"The truth is that it is incredible to be able to reach a club as big as PSG."
The 27-year-old should settle in quickly as he is friends with Brazil teammates Neymar and Marquinhos, and also knows Mauro Icardi, whom he played with during a loan spell at Inter Milan during the 2017-18 season.
After winning three La Liga titles, three Copas del Rey and a UEFA Champions League with Barça, he now hopes to add to his medal collection at the Parc des Princes.
"Being on the same level as I was in the last year, because I feel very good," replied Rafinha, who spent the 2019-20 campaign on loan at Celta Vigo, when asked what his goals are for the coming season.
"Being able to grow as a player, learning from my colleagues and with the team, being able to win as many titles as possible, of course."
