Kasper Dolberg has joined a long list of injured players who will miss OGC Nice's Ligue 1 Uber Eats encounter with AS Saint-Etienne on Sunday.
The Denmark international limped out of his country's 1-0 UEFA Nations League win against England at Wembley on Wednesday and has not recovered from the twisted ankle he suffered in a tackle with Manchester United defender Harry Maguire.
The former Ajax man, who has scored twice in the French top flight this season, joins Youcef Atal, new signing Jeff Reine-Adélaïde and Alexis Claude-Maurice in the treatment room.
On the positive side, Nice boss Patrick Vieira can count on Danilo Barbosa, who returns to the squad for the first time since being injured in a pre-season friendly with Saint-Etienne on 10 July. Hicham Boudaoui is also fit again as Nice seek a second successive league win.
Saint-Etienne boss Claude Puel, whose side have not lost in their last three meetings with the Côte d'Azur outfit, is also struggling personnel-wise.
Timothée Kolodziejczak is suspended while Yvann Maçon is out for the season and Mathieu Debuchy has not fully recovered from a thigh injury. Puel is likely to give new signing Panayiotis Retsos — picked up from Nice's upcoming UEFA Europa League opponents Bayer Leverkusen — and Harold Makoudi starting roles in his back line.
Yvan Neyou and Wahbi Khazri are also suspended with Les Verts aiming to improve on a run of just one point in three league outings.
