Boulaye Dia has praised the family atmosphere at Reims after pulling alongside Paris Saint-Germain's Kylian Mbappé on 12 goals at the top of the Ligue 1 Uber Eats goalscoring charts.

Dia has been linked with a move to clubs within France and beyond after an electric start to the season which has seen him score 12 league goals at a rate of one every 114 minutes he has played.

The Senegal striker scored twice as Reims beat AS Saint-Étienne 3-1 on Saturday - extending their undefeated run to five games - and he says he is settled at the Stade Auguste-Delaune, despite reported interest in his services.

"I can leave, just as well as I can stay!," he said with a laugh. "This is just the beginning of the transfer window; the month is very long. I don't think about that. I'm focused on the results of the team, on myself, to continue to perform well and to score goals.

'Family atmosphere'

"I feel good in Reims, it's a good family atmosphere here. Otherwise, we know my situation. I have a release clause, that's what I can tell you."

Dia's goalscoring prowess comes into even sharper focus considering his side have otherwise been in the relegation places for seven of the 19 rounds of fixtures so far. The 24-year-old is convinced his side have now turned a corner, though.

"Everything's flowing. We've fought since the start of the season. We had to stay united; together as we climb the table. The goal is simply survival. The president made a speech to say that we had the objective of finishing between eighth and 14th place. Considering our start to the season, we couldn't hope for better."
