LOSC boss Christophe Galtier belives that football fans enjoy seeing champions Paris Saint-Germain involved in a fight to retain their Ligue 1 Uber Eats title.
Speaking ahead of LOSC's home game against lowly Dijon on Sunday, Galtier said: "I don't think people especially want to see Lille or Lyon in the title race. What they want to see is Paris in danger when it comes to winning the title. They want to see a fight because there hasn't been one for a while.
"Often, at the half-season mark, Paris have already established a clear lead. That's not the case this season for various reasons. It's true that public opinion wants to see Paris challenged by other teams, but that's not linked to Lille or Lyon. It's just that it creates suspense."
LOSC head into Sunday's play level on points with PSG and two points back from leaders OL. Galtier added: "I'm looking at what's going on behind us because the more points we're clear the better it will be. And if we keep moving clear of the teams behind us then that means we'll still be in contact with Paris."
