Paris Saint-Germain are hopeful Marco Verratti will be available to face Barcelona in Tuesday's UEFA Champions League Last 16 first-leg tie despite missing the Ligue 1 Uber Eats champions' last two competitive fixtures.
Verratti took a blow to a hip in the 2-0 defeat of Marseille just over a week ago, and was unable to feature in the Coupe de France triumph at Caen in midweek and the 2-1 league defeat of Nice on Saturday.
The Italy international did, however, train on Saturday, and PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino is optimistic of being able to have Verratti available for the test at the Camp Nou, and has included him in the squad travelling to Spain on Monday.
Verratti could again be used in the advanced role Pochettino employed him in in the opening games of the Argentine's tenure at PSG, especially with Neymar (adductor) and Angel Di Maria (thigh) both ruled out.
