2-1 down from the first leg, Ligue 1 Uber Eats leaders LOSC face a massive task at Ajax on Thursday evening in the second leg of the Round of 32 of the UEFA Europa League.
LOSC captain Jose Fonte faces a late fitness test after suffering a muscular lesion in training on Wednesday, but Christophe Galtier is boosted by the return of key midfielder Benjamin André after suspension. Jonathan Ikoné could earn a place in attack alongside Jonathan David after his wonderful frree-kick in the 4-1 win at Lorient on Sunday. Turkish international forward Burak Yilmaz is still out with a calf problem.
Galtier always sends LOSC out in a 4-4-2 formation, though there might be subtle differences tonight in a bid to combat Ajax's unique playing style that features Daley Blind playing in a hybrid position.
"We've prepared two systems"
Galtier said: "We've had a long think about tactics with my assistants. We have prepared two systems. Compared to our usual game plan, there could be a slight modification. We mustn't lose confidence because they moved us around in the first leg. We must make sure we play while holding nothing back, but in an intelligent manner, but also with insouciance, in order to have no regrets."
