Yusuf Yazici and Renato Sanches are among those who could feature for a rotated LOSC as the league leaders look to keep up their winning ways against RC Strasbourg Alsace on Sunday.

- Kick-off: 17:00 GMT

Lille sit atop Ligue 1 Uber Eats heading into their Round 27 clash at the Stade de la Meinau, their hopes of a first French top-flight title since 2011 showing little signs of faltering after last Sunday's 4-1 win at FC Lorient, which left them three points ahead of Olympique Lyonnais and four above defending champions Paris Saint-Germain.

It was les Dogues' eighth consecutive league game without defeat, seven of which have been wins, but there was disappointment on Thursday with Christophe Galtier's side edged out of the UEFA Europa League by Ajax after a 2-1 defeat at the Johan Cruyff Arena.

Galtier 'frustrated'

Lille have dealt admirably with the glut of fixtures which has been compounded by the coronavirus pandemic, and Galtier wasn't in the mood to look for excuses after his side's European exit at the last 32 stage.

"I appreciate the way my players played," explained the 54-year-old tactician. "The pace and intensity they put into the game. We had quick attacks, forced them to defend a lot and chase after the ball. We're disappointed and frustrated."

Yazici got Lille's lone strike from the penalty spot on Thursday and will be hopeful of being given the chance to add to his 14 goals and five assists in all competitions from the off against Strasbourg, although he does face competition from Jonathan David, Jonathan Ikoné and Timothy Weah in attack.

Midfield minefield

Burak Yilmaz - who scored LOSC's final goal in a 3-0 win in October's reverse fixture - is the league leaders' sole long-term absentee with a calf injury, but Sanches was the only midfielder who managed 90 minutes in midweek, while defenders Jose Fonte and Domagoj Bradaric only one booking away from a suspension.

Hosts Strasbourg begin the day 14 places and 29 points worse off than their visitors, but might still be satisfied with their six-point cushion on Lorient in the first automatic relegation place.

Thierry Laurey's side drew 0-0 with Angers SCO last Sunday, building on their 1-0 derby victory over FC Metz the previous weekend, but the share of the points against les Scoïstes came at a potential cost with midfielder Jean-Eudes Aholou a doubt for this game.

Aholou hope

"We hope that Jean-Eudes Aholou will be fit on Sunday for Lille," Laurey said at his pre-match press conference. "He took a hit on his knee. He didn't have any pain at the time, but it flared up a bit afterwards. We'll see how it goes."

Dimitri Liénard is the most likely to deputise for the AS Monaco-owned man at the base of Strasbourg's midfield; with Aholou adding to a lengthening injury list which includes Mohamed Simakan (knee), Matz Sels (Achilles' tendon) and Lebo Motheba (knock).

Possible teams

Strasbourg: Kawashima; Guilbert, Mitrovic, Djiku, Caci; Sissoko, Liénard, Bellegarde; Thomasson; Ajorque, Diallo

Lille: Maignan; Celik, Fonte, Botman, Bradaric; Ikoné, Sanches, André, Bamba; Yazici, David
