LOSC coach Christophe Galtier expressed his dissatisfaction with a draw at home to Montpellier as the Ligue 1 Uber Eats leaders dropped points on Friday evening.
Substitute Luiz Araujo scored a late equaliser to earn the home team the points, cancelling out Andy Delort's first-half opener. Galtier, whose side are four poinst clear of Paris Saint-Germain at the top, commented: "I'm not satisfied with the draw in spite of the way the match went. Their goal put doubt in our minds, but we finished in control of the game, with a lot of pressure on the opposition defence, without being able to add more goals.
"Our rivals will have to enjoy a perfect run to overtake us"
"Right until the end of the season, we're going to need to fight. I don't know if we dropped points this evening or gained on, that's down to you to judge. But our rivals will have to enjoy a perfect run in order to overtake us. We'll see where we stand on Sunday, and assess the weekend, before preparing for a massive match against Lyon. We have no pressure because we make sure we don't put any on ourselves, but we have the desire to pull off an exploit.
Montpellier are five points back from fifth-placed Lens with games running out in their quest to qualify for Eurpe and their coach Michel Der Zakarian said: "We played very well in the first half and scored a quality goal. In the second half, Lille stepped up the pace and suffocated us with their relentless attacks. There were a lot of shots on target but Jonas Omlin played a great game. I wouldn't have minded winning here with a hold-up. The point brings us closer to fifth place as the other clubs haven't yet played this weekend, and they need to win their matches."
