Find the news about the assignment of jersey numbers in League 1 Uber Eats.

Lionel Messi will wear number 30 for Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1 Uber Eats this season - a number normally reserved for goalkeepers in the league - after reportedly turning down close friend Neymar's offer of the number ten, saying that such a shirt must be earned. As the rules permit, the Parisian club made a request to the LFP for exemption so that its new star can wear the number he donned early in his Barcelona career.

Article 576 of the Regulations frames the use of jersey numbers by the Ligue 1 Uber Eats clubs. Firstly, it allows them to be precisely located on the outfit: so the numbers appear both on the back of the shirt and on the right front of the shorts and can appear on each sock.

Second, players who are likely to play in the first team during the Ligue 1 Uber Eats season are assigned a number for the year. For other players, all teams must have a jersey numbered 33, not assigned to a player and reserved for last minute substitutions.
