Reigning Ligue 1 Uber Eats champions LOSC have announced the arrival of Croatian international goalkeeper Ivo Grbic on loan from Spanish champions Atlético Madrid.

Following the summer departure of Mike Maignan, who left for AC Milan, LOSC have found a new man to take care of business between the sticks: Croatian international Ivo Grbic (25), who has arrived on a season-long loan with an option to buy.

The Croatian international, who came up in his homeland (Hajduk Split, NK Lokomotiva), did well at Atletico Madrid, as understudy to Jan Oblak, and now has a chance to shine in Ligue 1 Uber Eats. A Spanish champion with Los Colchoneros, this "complete goalkeeper, solid on his line and endowed with good reflexes" has joined the reigning French champions, much to the delight of club president Olivier Létang.

Létang: 'All the qualities'

"We are delighted to welcome Ivo Grbić to LOSC. After a rich experience in a great club and alongside a great goalkeeper, Ivo now has the necessary maturity, as well as all the qualities specific to his position, to take on even more responsibilities," said the Lille head honcho. "I am happy that he has chosen LOSC for this, confident that he will have a good season and bring all his skills to bear in a quality squad."
