RC Lens are now on top of the heap. Moses Simon (FC Nantes) had been top of the Ligue 1 Uber Eats official assists table since Round 2, but the Nigeria forward fell victim to Lens' repeat offenders Przemyslaw Frankowski and Jonathan Clauss in Round 5. Both men notched their third assist of the season in the 3-2 win over Bordeaux and leapt into the top two places.

Frankowski, who arrived this summer from MLS, has set up three goals in five top flight appearances, the same number as in his previous two seasons with Chicago Fire FC (32 matches). He tops the assists chart thanks to his having played fewer minutes, with Clauss a close second.  The Sang et Or right-back earned the runner-up spot after laying on a corner for Facundo Medina to head in.

He has now been involved in 12 Ligue 1 Uber Eats goals in 2021 (four goals and eight assists), at least double any other defender in the league over the same period.

Good start for Ilan Kebbal

Given his chance in the first team by coach Oscar Garcia after a convincing loan spell at USL Dunkerque last season, Ilan Kebbal has made a remarkable entry into the assists chart - the Stade de Reims attacking midfielder set up both of his team's goals in the win over Stade Rennais. With this double, he is now on the brink of the assists chart's top 10 of the ranking (11th). For his first five appearances in the top flight, the diminutive forward (1.69m) has already been involved in three goals (one goal and two assists).
