Nice are fourth in the table on 13 points and could go second if they win this weekend and RC Lens and Olympique de Marseille do not, Saturday's 3-0 victory over AS Saint-Étienne a welcome return to winning ways after dropped points against AS Monaco and FC Lorient.
Gouiri is the team's most prolific this season with five goals and two assists, but he missed penalties in each of the games before the ASSE recovery. He and Delort both scored from open play last Saturday, and coach Christophe Galtier wants to leave it up to them the next time a penalty is given.
No doubts
"He mustn't let doubt creep in," he explained of Gouiri. "We have a number one penalty-taker and a number two penalty-taker in Andy Delort. I'll have a chat with Amine and Andy about that. It's up to them to feel it. Amine mustn't have misplaced pride. But he's very strong mentally, he's not in that mindset."

Nice and Marseille have a game in hand over second-place Lens - one they will make up when they play each other in their rescheduled Round 3 encounter which will now take place in Troyes on Wednesday 27 October.
Dante became the oldest player to hit 150 Ligue 1 Uber Eats appearances in the 1-0 loss to Lorient - Nice's only defeat this season - and he will once again anchor what has become a settled 4-4-2 team.
Dolberg doubtful
Wide men Hicham Boudaoui and Justin Kluivert remain out with back and thigh injuries respectively, however, while Kasper Dolberg is not yet fit enough to put pressure on Delort's place in the side.
Brest arrive in Nice in 19th with just one more point than their hosts most recently vanquished opponents. Les Pirates' 2-1 loss to FC Metz on Sunday means they have failed to plunder 20 of a possible 24 points since the start of the season.

Brest have only lost one of their last four meetings with Nice, and that just by a goal when Kamara scored an 89th-minute winner for les Aiglons in a 3-2 win May. Galtier's opposite number Michel Der Zakarian remains optimistic of getting a result in the Côte d'Azur.
'Why not go and beat Nice?'
"The more days we lose the more difficult it becomes," he said. "But why not go and win in Nice? We'll have to be strong against a big team playing in Europe. It's up to us to defend well in order to attack well. I don't have a PlayStation. I make a speech before the match and at half-time, after that, the players are in control. We have 30 matches left and must win half of them to save ourselves."
Der Zakarian's case hasn't been helped by the continued absences of Paul Lasne and Christophe Hérelle. Cornerstones of last season's 17th-place finish, they are yet to play this term due to knee injuries. Steve Mounié, who has four career goals against Nice, is at least fit to lead the line.
Possible teams
