Christophe Galtier has warned his Nice side that Sunday's trip to Troyes is a potential banana skin.

Nice come into the game in third place in the table with 16 points, their third-highest tally at this stage of the season in the 21st century.

They scored a 2-1 win over Brest before the international break, their second successive league triumph, but Galtier told his team to be wary of assuming they'll hit the ground running against 17th-placed Troyes.

"Troyes is nothing like the game against Brest. The first game back after an international break with players that have travelled and haven't worked together for some time is always difficult," he said.

"They're a promoted team and they have developed a style of playing out from the back, they make a lot of overlapping runs, and get in behind your defence. I don't think we'll come up against a team that will sit back.

Galtier is without left-back Melvin Bard, who picked up a foot injury while on U21 duty with France, and forward Justin Kluivert, who is still recovering from a hamstring problem.

Amine Gouiri, however, is fit after taking a knock also while with France U21s, and is likely to start up front alongside Kasper Dolberg in the Champagne region.

"We have to insist on our gameplan. We have to keep what we did well against Brest and put right the rest, notably in terms of our finishing," said Galtier. "I'm certain that we're going to have a tough game."
