Paris Saint-Germain sporting director says he sees “no limits” for the capital club and re-iterated his desire for Kylian Mbappé to stay at the Ligue 1 Uber Eats leaders.

Mbappé is out of contract at the end of the season and, quoted in L’Equipe,  Leonardo told students at Paris’ Sorbonne university: “Kylian is amazing, you know that. He’s different, unique. You know what we want, that’s clear. We’ll see what happens.”

"We represent something unique in the world"

After adding that captain Marquinhos will stay at the club for life, Leonardo addressed the expectations of Paris, saying: “When you look at our squad, it makes you dream. We represent something unique in the world. A lot of people do a lot of talking but no club in the last 10 years has had what we’ve got.

“We of course need to make the last step but I think we’ll make it. We need to get beyond the idea that we’ve never won the Champions League. We need to to do some work in our minds and I don’t see any limits. We don’t have the honours board of some clubs, but we have the structure, the quality and the organisation. Paris is a special city for what it represents. There are a lot of distractions, and that can take away a bit of the focus.”
