David, Mbappé, Laborde, Payet… through their killer instinct in front of goal - or their knack for teeing up their teammates - these players have made their mark on Ligue 1 Uber Eats in the first half of season 2021-22.
Kylian Mbappé's suspension in Round 19 did nothing to harm his standing as the league's most decisive player. Ligue 1 Uber Eats's sixth-top scorer and outright assists leader at the half-way point of the season, the France striker has been directly involved in 17 goals for Paris Saint-Germain (nine goals and eight assists) and is thus the most dangerous player so far this season.
Laborde: Hit the ground running
Gaëtan Laborde, who notched an assist in Round 19 on Wednesday, is second behind the Parisian, level with Dimitri Payet. The Stade Rennais striker has adapted quickly to life in Brittany: after scoring his first three goals of the season with Montpellier Hérault SC, he maintained momentum at Rennes to end the first half of the season with an impressive total of nine goals and four assists!
Payet also scored on Wednesday, against Stade de Reims, taking his tally of goals and assists to 13. With seven striked and six goals laid on for his teammates, Payet is the number 1 offensive weapon of Jorge Sampaoli's OM. Top scorer in Ligue 1 Uber Eats at the winter break, Jonathan David is just behind the top three with 12 goals. Note that the LOSC striker is the only player in the top ten not to delivered any assists this season.
Ben Yedder in double figures once again
Also involved in 12 goals, Wissam Ben Yedder (AS Monaco), Ludovic Ajorque (RC Strasbourg Alsace) and Amine Gouiri (OGC Nice) are hot on the heels of the Canadian international. With ten goals so far this season, the AS Monaco striker has reached double figures for the seventh time in his Ligue 1 Uber Eats career (four times with Toulouse FC, three with AS Monaco) - a figure bettered only by Bafétimbi Gomis in the top flight in the 21st century (nine times).
