After Kylian Mbappé hit the woodwork twice against OL on Sunday, PSG are back on the heels of AS Saint-Etienne, the team that has struck the frame of the goal the most this season in Ligue 1 Uber Eats.
Kylian Mbappé just couldn't catch a break on Sunday night: the young Paris Saint-Germain star hit the post twice against OL (Round 20), after two fine right-footed efforts.
With his first, just before the break (41'), the PSG No7 struck the ball sweetly but saw it cannon back off the far post - before seeing repeat in the final minutes (81'). The France international thought he had worked the ball perfectly from an off-centre free-kick, but the post came to OL 'keeper Anthony Lopes's rescue once again. The kid from Bondy, who has scored nine goals this season, had not yet hit the woodwork in the current campaign, but is now on intimate terms.
PSG and OM lead the way against Les Verts
With these two latest clashes with the upright, PSG have hit the woodwork a total of ten times this season. They are catching up with Olympique de Marseille in this category and are now three units behind AS Saint-Etienne, who are still in the lead. It should be noted that all Ligue 1 Uber Eats clubs have hit the frame of the goal at least once over the first 20 rounds, with Girondins de Bordeaux having done so the least - jut once.

Lionel Messi way ahead
In aggregate, and as an individual, Lionel Messi remains well ahead of the competition. The Paris Saint-Germain man, whose quest for Parisian goals has proven difficult in the first half of the season, has hit the woodwork twice as many times (6) as his nearest rival, Thomas Delaine of Metz (3), and three times as more than a raft of 25 players who have struck the frame twice.
