Paris Saint-Germain coach Mauricio Pochettino was happy with his side's reaction to their midweek Champions League collapse, as the league leaders saw off Bordeaux at the Parc des Princes on Sunday.

Goals from Kylian Mbappé, Neymar and Leandro Paredes gave the Parisian's a comfortable 3-0 win over David Guion's strugglers but the game will be remembered for the whistles and jeers from sections of the Parc des Princes crowd, aimed at many of PSG's stars.

A difficult match

"It was a difficult match in a difficult situation against a team fighting for its survival,'' added PSG coach Mauricio Pochettino. "The team did the job and I am satisfied with the performance and the result."

Pockets of the Parc des Princes faithful were less than forgiving just four days after the club's defeat in the Spanish capital with Neymar and Lionel Messi receiving the lion's share of the hostilities.

Sadness

"What I heard during the game was sad," added Pochettino. "Everyone who loves PSG is sad after the disappointment in Madrid and I am also sad for what I have experienced here today.

"The whole team were affected by the crowd today, not just Neymar and Messi. We understand the disappointment and frustration because we all went through it together. We have a responsibility to accept what happened and understand the fans' reactions. But we also share the disappointment of the fans."

Pochettino was clear in his mind as to what he wanted from his team against Les Girondins and was pleased to have got maximum points to extend his side's lead at the top of Ligue 1 Uber Eats to 15 points.

"We were looking for victory and the three points. We got them and the team I chose was the best eleven to achieve this result."
