Paris Saint-Germain stopper Sergio Ramos has been plagued by injuries since signing for the capital club, and coach Mauricio Pochettino is hoping the Spaniard will be fit to face Lorient in Ligue 1 Uber Eats Round 30 after the international break.

Spain and Real Madrid legend Sergio Ramos' arrival at Paris Saint-Germain was intended to shore up the capital clubs's defence and give the team the edge it needed to go all the way in the Champions League, but a string of injuries have limited the spirited stopper to just four appearances, all in the league.

With Paris Saint-Germain having been knocked out of the Champions League by Ramos' former club before he had a chance to bring his quality and experience to bear, their attention now turns back to Ligue 1 Uber Eats, where Pochettino is hopeful that the 35-year-old can find his feet before the end of the season.

Pochettino: 'He is the one suffering the most'

"He is disappointed and frustrated," said Pochettino, who has welcomed Ramos back to full training following a two-month lay-off with a calf injury - his third major injury since arriving from the Spanish capital in the summer. "We're trying to help him with all the resources we have at our disposal. He is the one who is suffering the most in this situation."

Ramos' chance to put his struggles behind him could well come as Lorient come calling at the Parc des Princes this Sunday for their Ligue 1 Uber Eats Round 30 fixture.
