On Sunday against Stade de Reims (R34), the Olympique de Marseille captain became the first player to reach 100 assists in Ligue 1 Uber Eats since the creation of the official ranking of passers in 2007-08. Dimitri Payet has come a long way since August 11, 2007, the date of his first officially recorded assist in Ligue 1 Uber Eats. On that day, while playing for AS Saint-Etienne, the attacking midfielder cooked up his first assist for Bafétimbi Gomis, a player he would later join at Olympique de Marseille.
