Marco Verratti moved joint-second in Paris Saint-Germain's all-time appearance chart while Warren Zaïre-Emery became the Ligue 1 Uber Eats champions' youngest-ever top-flight debutant in Saturday's thumping win at Clermont.

Verratti celebrated the tenth anniversary of his arrival at PSG this summer, and stepped out to kick off the 2022/23 campaign wearing the club's shirt for the 380th time.

That puts the Italy international level with Sylvain Armand (2004-13), and he is now just 55 appearances short of the record held by Jean-Marc Pilorget.

Verratti has played 248 Ligue 1 matches (7 goals, 38 assists), 28 in the Coupe de France (1 goal, 7 assists), 23 in the Coupe de la Ligue (3 assists), 9 Trophées des Champions and 72 in the UEFA Champions League (3 goals, 8 assists) with the club from the capital.

Verratti was replaced by Zaïre-Emery with eight minutes left to make the teenager PSG's youngest top-flight debutant aged 16 years, 4 months and 29 days. He moved ahead of El Chadaille Bitshiabu, who was 16 years, 7 months and 3 days when he came off the bench against Feignies in the Coupe de France in December 2021.

"I am very pleased, very happy, it's a source of pride, because I have now made it into the club's history books. I am the youngest player to have come on in Ligue 1, so of course it is something special for me. I wasn't expecting it, but you always have to be ready to stand up and be counted when you are on the bench, in case the coach calls us," Zaïre-Emery, who signed his first professional deal last month, told PSG's official website.

"There was real joy, I was happy. I gave my all, and I always give my best. It's a childhood dream. Everyone dreams of playing with players like this. I hope there will be other opportunities."
