Former Paris Saint-Germain coach Vahid Halilhodzic thinks nobody can stop Paris Saint-Germain from winning the UEFA Champions League this season.

PSG have got off to an electric start in Ligue 1 Uber Eats, winning three games from three with 17 goals scored and just three conceded. Neymar Jr. has already had a hand in 11 goals.

The French champions were drawn in Champions League Group H on Thursday alongside Juventus, Benfica and Maccabi Haifa.

While Juventus and Benfica have previously been crowned European champions, the closest Paris have come was in 2020, when their academy graduate Kingsley Coman scored against them in a 1-0 win for Bayern Munich in the final in Lisbon.

Halilhodzic, who won the Coupe de France as PSG manager in 2004, doesn't think anything can stop them this time.

"The squad is the best in the world," he told l'Equipe. "Beyond that, it's just a question of how well the players can get along. You have to bring them together in a common project so that everyone puts their ego aside and keeps this high collective level.

"If they manage that, I don't see a team capable of preventing PSG from realizing this dream. A lot can happen between now and May, but they're off to a great start this season."

PSG welcome AS Monaco to the Parc des Princes on Sunday, and could open up a five-point lead at the top depending on other results.
