PSG's number one goalkeeper since the arrival of coach Christophe Galtier in the summer, Italy showstopper Gianluigi Donnarumma pulled off a stunning save to give his club victory over Brest in Ligue 1 Uber Eats Round 7 action at the weekend.

Paris Saint-Germain's third-straight clean sheet - and third win - against Stade Brestois 29 on Saturday was largely down to a Gianluigi Donnarumma save. In the 70th minute of play, the Italian international showed his class by stretching majestically to deny Islam Slimani's penalty. A brilliant save by the goalkeeper - not a miss by the Brest striker.

Depending on the trajectory of the ball, the shot on the Parisian goal had an expected goal value of 0.9904, so it had a 99% chance of hitting the target. But Donnarumma was not to be counted out. After a feint to his right, the former Milan man unfolded his 1.96-metre frame to pull off a truly stunning save.

The most effective goalkeeper this season

This little miracle confirmed the rise of the giant Italian goalkeeper in Ligue 1 Uber Eats. Since the start of the season, he is the keeper who has notched the most clean sheets (4), while also posting the best save percentage (85.7%). Nearest rivals Matz Sels (78.1%) and Mory Diaw (76.7%) are some way behind.
