Only Kylian Mbappé and Karim Benzema have scored more Ligue 1 Uber Eats goals before their 20th birthday than Montpellier prodigy Elye Wahi, who can lay claim to being European football's top teenager.
Wahi has struck 17 times in 59 top-flight appearances, including four goals in eight 2022/23 games, for Montpellier, and only turns 20 on 2 January.
That means he still has nine league games to score the one goal he needs to draw level with Benzema's tally of 18 that the Real Madrid striker accrued for Lyon before he turned 20. Mbappé netted a jaw-dropping 41 league goals before he reached his 20s.

Wahi is also ahead of his peers in Europe's major leagues. Bayern Munich's Jamal Musiala, who turns 20 in February, has scored 16 goals in 64 league matches, while Florian Wirtz has 13 in 60 for Bayer Leverkusen.
For Montpellier, only Olivier Giroud (2011/12) and Souleymane Camara (2012/13) have managed the feat of netting four times in the first eight league games of a top-flight season since the club's surprise 2011/12 title win.
Wahi also scored on his second appearance for France's U21 side in Monday's 2-2 draw with Belgium, three days after he had made his debut at that level against Germany.
