Farès Chaïbi enters the race. Very promising in pre-season this summer with Toulouse FC (three goals), the 19-year-old midfielder showed plenty of good things in Ligue 1 Uber Eats as he played his first games in the professional world. However, the new starlet - who graduated from Toulouse's academy - experienced a small setback. After having been selected for the first game by Philippe Montanier, appendicitis forced him to wait before playing again.
He returned for Round 4 and quickly resumed his progress. His statistics now speak for themselves: the Lyon-born player has scored six goals and provided four assists in the last five matches, and has played an important role in Toulouse's current good form (three wins, one draw and one defeat in the last five matches).
One step away from the podium
With a total of four assists, he has done well in the official assists ranking, moving from 35th to seventh place at the end of Round 11. He now has the podium in his sights, just one length behind Monaco's Caio Henrique.
