Angers SCO have announced the sacking of head coach Gérald Baticle.
Angers SCO, currently 20th and last in the Ligue 1 Uber Eats standings, announced on Thursday morning 'the precautionary layoff, as of today, of Gérald Baticle, head coach of the senior squad'.
The former striker took up his post at the helm of the club's team on 23 May 2021, succeeding legendary Angers boss Stéphane Moulin.
SCO also added that 'until further notice, the team will be coached by Abdel Bouhazama, the director of the youth academy since 2013.
Baticle's record at SCO
Gérald Baticle led Angers SCO to 14th place in the standings last season in a campaign that saw Angers go top of the Ligue 1 Uber Eats table after two matches and remain unbeaten in the first five games of the season.
His record at the helm of Angers SCO stands at 12 wins, 13 draws and 28 defeats in 53 Ligue 1 Uber Eats matches.
