Mbappé fires late winner
Kylian Mbappé's last-gasp penalty handed Paris Saint-Germain a 2-1 win over Strasbourg at the Parc des Princes.
Marquinhos headed the league leaders in front (14') before inadvertently putting through his own net to level up the scoring (51'). The deck appeared to be stacked against PSG when Neymar was dismissed for a second yellow card in quick succession (62') but Mbappé once again came to the rescue, firing home from the spot in the sixth minute of added time.
"Obviously, we’re very happy, it was the last game of 2022 at the Parc des Princes," said PSG coach Christophe Galtier, who gears his side up to face second-placed Lens on New Year's Day. "Our fans have been right behind us since the start of the season. They always encourage the team and tonight they pushed the team very, very hard when we were struggling. And I think it helped our players and it's a great victory for our supporters."
Stalemate at Nice
Nice and Lens cancelled each other out in a goalless draw at the Allianz Riviera.
The result saw Franck Haise's side fall seven-points adrift of leaders PSG ahead of their crunch meeting on New Year's Day.
"We did not make our mark on this match so you have to know how to take a point and be satisfied with it," said Lens coach Franck Haise. "That's what I told the players at the end of the game. In three days against Paris, we will be ready. I have no doubt. But we will have to be at a higher level."
Marseille ease to victory
Marseille closed the gap on second-placed Lens after thrashing Toulouse 6-1 at the Orange Velodrome.
Valentin Rongier opened the scoring from close range (14') before Rasmus Nicolaisen extended OM's advantage courtesy of an unfortunate own-goal (41'). Sead Kolasinac (52') and Dimitri Payet (62') extended the home side's lead before goals from Cengiz Under (80') and Nuno Tavares (82') capped off a fine performance to lift Igor Tudor's side up to third.
Branco van den Boomen pulled one back for Toulouse from the penalty spot (67').
Reims stun Rennes
A Folarin Balogun double helped Reims overcome Rennes 3-1 at the Stade Auguste Delaune.
Folarin's superb sixth-minute volley broke the deadlock before Alexis Flips added a second with a fine finish of his own (22'). Arthur Theate pulled one back for Rennes on the stroke of half time but Balogun had the final say, heading home six minutes from time.
Teenage star lifts Monaco
Debutant Eliesse Ben Seghir scored a brace as Monaco won 3-2 at Auxerre.
Wissam Ben Yedder equalised for Monaco shortly before the interval to cancel out the host's opener from M'Baye Niang (30'). Substitute Ben Seghir then fired Philippe Clément's side ahead (58') before being pegged back by Youssouf Fofana's own-goal (68').
But 17-year-old Ben Seghir capped off a fine debut when he superbly fired home Monaco's winner five-minutes from time.
Lyon end 2022 in style
Lyon got themselves back to winning ways with a convincing 4-2 win at Brest.
Maxence Caqueret (21') and Rayan Cherki (32') struck for the visitors either side of Mathias Pereira Lage's effort for Brest (29'). Lyon stretched their advantage further through an Alexandre Lacazette penalty (35') followed by Tetê's finish (49') before Steve Mounié headed home a consolation for the hosts (72').
Savanier magic downs Lorient
A stunning free-kick from Téji Savanier helped Montpellier to a 2-0 win at Lorient.
Savanier opened the scoring in the third minute with a sumptuous effort before Elye Wahi headed a second (22') to kill off Lorient's hopes. Les Merlus are now without a win in six games.
Happy return for LOSC
Two second-half goals handed handed LOSC a 2-0 win at Clermont
Angel Gomes put the visitors ahead from the penalty spot (68') before Mohamed Bayo netted his first for the club against his former side, to make sure of the points (90').
Ajaccio continue momentum
Ajaccio continued their upturn in form after seeing off Angers 1-0 at the Stade François Coty.
Youcef Belaïli's penalty six-minutes before the interval was enough to stretch the Corsican outfit's unbeaten run to three games. Meanwhile, Angers remain bottom of the pile with seven-consecutive defeats.

Troyes and Nantes battled to a goalless draw at the Stade de l'Aube.
The result ensures Nantes drop to 16th, while Troyes occupy 14th on the table.
