Terem Moffi scored for the second game in a row and Jonathan David netted a double as both strikers moved to within one goal of leader Kylian Mbappé at the top of the scoring charts

Terem Moffi scored for the second game in a row in Lorient's 3-1 defeat at Marseille.

The Nigerian fired his side into a 29th-minute lead in superb fashion, volleying home from 12 yards. Moffi's strike was his 12th of what has been a fantastic season for the 23-year-old.

A Jonathan David double in LOSC's 5-1 win over Troyes took his goals tally to an impressive 12 for the season. David fired high into the roof of the net from 12-yards out to net his first of the afternoon.

His second came late in the game, heading home form close range to help fire LOSC up to sixth in the table.

Alexandre Lacazette once again proved reliable from the penalty spot in Lyon's shock 2-1 home defeat to Strasbourg. The 31-year-old striker kept his cool to convert a spot kick on the stroke of halftime, to register his 11th goal this term.

Hat-trick hero

Wissam Ben Yedder scored a 14-minute hat-trick for Monaco to make up ground in the race to be crowned top scorer. The 32-year-old began his first-half goal fest by firing Monaco's third goal in their 7-1 mauling of Ajaccio.

Ben Yedder added his second of the game just seven-minutes later as Monaco began to run riot on the Corsican side. He then converted from the penalty spot in the 35th minute to complete his hat-trick and take his tally for the season to 11 goals.

The Frenchman wasn't the only player to make the headlines at the Stade Louis II as strike partner Breel Embolo netted a brace of his own in the rout. The Swiss international headed his first goal just after the hour mark to hand Monaco their sixth goal of the game.

Embolo saved his best for last with a classy lob to complete the scoring on a prolific afternoon for the principality side.

Habib Diallo netted his eighth goal of the season in Strasbourg's heroic win against Lyon. The Senegalese international has been one of the few bright sparks in a dismal campaign for Strasbourg and he bundled home his side's second goal in the clash at the Groupama Stadium.

Alexis Sanchez got himself on the scoresheet for the first time since November in Marseille's 3-1 win over Lorient. The Chilean produced a fine near-post run and finish to hand Marseille the initiative during the win at the Orange Velodrome.

Sanchez has now scored six times in the league for Igor Tudor's side.
