The first half of the 2022-23 Ligue 1 Uber Eats season has been decidedly offensive!
First of all, 558 goals have scored at the half-way point of the season (2.94 goals/game) - a feat not achieved in Ligue 1 Uber Eats since the 1979-80 season. And this achievement was made by clubs that recording the best percentage of shots on target since Opta began analysing the competition in 2006-07 (49.5%) and a record number of attempts over the same period (1,744 shots). Secondly, the goal-scoring charts are at an all-time high, the first time in 45 years that eight players have scored at ten goals or more after 19 games...
Paris Saint-Germain - with Kylian Mbappé as the attacking leader and his 13 goals - 70 shots, including 37 on target (three top totals for the season) - is also the most prolific attack in Ligue 1 Uber Eats with 48 goals.
Monegasque skill
Christophe Galtier's troops are also the second-most clinical side, converting 17% of their attempts into goals this season. The winter champions from the capital have been narrowly pipped by Mbappé's former club AS Monaco in this endeavour.

AS Monaco (second-best attack with 42 goals) are also the most consistent, having scored at least one goal in a record 29 consecutive matches in the league (the longest streak in Europe's Big 5 leagues), ahead of Stade Rennais (fourth-best attack, 36 goals), who have found the net in their last 18 matches in Ligue 1 Uber Eats.

The Monegasques have the highest accuracy this season, just ahead of PSG. Lucid in their offensive risk-taking, the Monegasques are only in ninth position in the ranking of shots attempted in 2022-23, well away from LOSC (first) and PSG (second).

Nantes and Brest, the long-distance experts
From long range, while Andrei Girotto (FC Nantes) closed out the season superbly against Montpellier (0-3) - confirming the Canaries' penchant for long-range shots (100 attempts, top of the charts), it was AS Monaco - in the wake of Golovin (3) - who scored the most goals from outside the box (6), ahead of PSG and FC Lorient (5).
Although they are one of four teams not to have reached the 20-goal mark this season, Stade Brestois have been successful from afar, with long-range goals accounting for 21% of their total! Only Nantes rival them, with 19% of their goals scored from distance in 2022-23.
Top scorers
Among the scorers with at least four goals after 19 games (42 players), Wissam Ben Yedder (AS Monaco) is the most efficient - with a goal every 2.55 shots attempted. The French striker (11 goals) is well known for his clinical finishing, as are Terem Moffi (FC Lorient, 2.92 shots), Breel Embolo (ASM, 3 shots) and Neymar Jr (PSG, 3.09 shots), who are all competing in this area.
Next, the players from the principality also lead in the category of goals scored with the head (10), with Breel Embolo leading the way (4), ahead of Rennes (7), OM (6) and Stade Brestois (6).
As for the other body parts, PSG are benefiting from Lionel Messi's magic to emerge as the team with the most left-footed goals since the opening of the season (14), ahead of OL (13). Meanwhile, Kylian Mbappé has helped power the capital club to the highest total of right-footed goals (28),with Toulouse FC (22) not far off, with 76% of their goals scored this way!
