Strasbourg have confirmed Mathieu Le Scornet will remain as coach until the end of the season after initially replacing Julien Stéphan on an interim basis.
Le Scornet was at the helm as Strasbourg drew 2-2 with Lens and then won 2-1 at Lyon last week, a performance that convinced the club Stéphan's former assistant could take the first team through the campaign with the aim of keeping the side in the top flight.

Stéphan was removed on 9 January following a run of just one win in the opening 17 matches of the season. That had left Strasbourg second from bottom of the Ligue 1 Uber Eats table, but the positive run under Le Scornet means they are now out of the relegation zone on goal difference in 16th place.
