RC Lens manager Franck Haise admitted to having mixed feelings after his team had to come from behind late on to earn a draw away to ESTAC Troyes on Saturday.
“I am satisfied at not losing, and that we got the equaliser that we deserved, especially as they had a chance to go 2-0 up. But I am also disappointed that we didn’t get three points in a match we 95 percent dominated,” said Haise, after substitute Adrien Thomasson scored an 88th-minute equaliser for Les Sang et Or in a 1-1 draw at the Stade de l’Aube.
“Coming up against teams who sit back and defend against us is part of the game. We did lots of things very well, but we just need more precision with the last or second-last touch.”
Yasser Larouci had earlier given Troyes the lead, and it looked like Lens would suffer just their second defeat of the season before Thomasson’s late intervention. The northerners could have gone level on points with leaders Paris Saint-Germain with a victory, at least before the capital club’s clash with Stade de Reims on Sunday.
