With six assists in 22 appearances, the 23-year-old attacking midfielder has displaced Rémy Cabella (LOSC) from eighth place on the official Ligue 1 Uber Eats assist chart after Round 27 - and is closing in on the podium. The former Lille man is Stade de Reims' assist leader this season, ahead of Junya Ito (five), and is enjoying a rich vein of form with three assists in the last five matches.

One month after his assist double against ESTAC (4-0), the man from Villeneuve-d'Ascq in Lille once again showed his quality by playing Folarin Balogun into space for the only goal of the game against AS Monaco (0-1). The former France U-20 international, who has made ten assists since the start of last season, is continuing his progress in the top flight with Stade de Reims, the club he joined from LOSC in October 2020.

Now used on the left side of the attack by Will Still, the player who has been appeared in the last eight matches seems to have earned his place in the Reims starting line-up. His understanding with Balogun, for whom he has handed out four of his six assists this season, should continue to do damage between now and the end of the season.

Lionel Messi widens the gap

At the top of the table, Lionel Messi is still on the rise, having bagged his 13th assist of the season in Round 27. With Neymar out for the rest of the season due to injury, La Pulga is now three points clear of third-placed Jonathan Clauss (OM). The Argentinian world champion is the favourite to take the title of Ligue 1 Uber Eats' 2022-23 assists leader with eleven games to go and already has 27 assists in 48 appearances in Ligue 1 Uber Eats.
