Christophe Galtier is taking nothing for granted after his side closed to within three points pf the Ligue 1 Uber Eats title with victory over AC Ajaccio, with RC Lens hot on their heels.

PSG welcomed Lionel Messi back for their meeting with Ajaccio at the Parc des Princes on Saturday after cutting his in-house suspension short, but it was Kylian Mbappé who stole the show, with a brace in a 5-0 win.

The victory means that if Paris beat AJ Axurre next weekend, they will almost certainly be crowned champions, with Lens - who beat Stade de Reims 2-1 on Friday - needing an 18-goal swing over the last three games of the season.

Galtier: 'Lens winning at incredible rate'

"It's good for the players to take the points," Galtier said after the game. "But our nearest challengers [Lens] are taking points at an incredible rate and third-place [Marseille] will probably win this weekend, too. Nothing is decided yet.

"Among my squad II see players who want to be champions of France. [But] Lens don't give up and we remain within reach. One mis-step can put pressure on the end of the season."

Messi and Mbappé had been combining to devastating effect before the former's unsanctioned trip to Saudi Arabia, but Hugo Ekitiké was added to the mix on Saturday and can expect further inclusion.

"[Mbappé] had more freedom to play," explained Galtier. "Hugo's presence on the shoulder and between the lines freed up Leo and kept Ajaccio with four at the back. Kylian had space, more so in the second half. He also wants to be Ligue 1 top scorer for the fifth time. That's good for him and us."
