Kylian Mbappé took a huge stride towards the top scorer crown with his double in Paris Saint-Germain's 2-1 win at Auxerre to move to 28 goals for the season.

The French World Cup winner took just six minutes to open the scoring, turning the Auxerre defence inside and out before firing high into the net.

His second came just two-minutes later via a superb curled finish into the corner, leaving Auxerre 'keeper Ionut Radu with little chance of keeping it out.

Alexandre Lacazette moved up to 26 goals for the season with his strike for Lyon in their 3-1 win at home to Monaco.

Lacazette was in the right place at the time to slot home from eight yards after neat play from Bradley Barcola.

Golden touch

Jonathan David ended his three-game scoreless run in LOSC's 2-1 win at home to Marseille.

The Canadian striker kept his cool from the penalty spot to fire past OM goalkeeper Pau Lopez, registering his 22nd goal of the season.

A 20th goal of what has been a superb season for Folarin Balogun, helped Reims pick up a point against Angers.

Balogun fired home in the 54th minute to put his side 2-1 ahead against the relegated side.

Wissam Ben Yedder was back among the goals for Monaco but could do little to prevent his side losing 3-1 at the Groupama Stadium.

Ben Yedder slotted home his 18th goal of the campaign from the penalty spot in the 2nd minute of the game.

Next up…

The penultimate weekend of the season sees the two front runners for the top scorer crown aim to bolster their chances to scooping this year's prize.

Mbappé and Paris Saint-Germain can wrap up an 11th league title when they travel to a Strasbourg side led by 20-goal Habib Diallo, hoping to secure top-flight survival.

Lacazette and Lyon face Reims at the Groupama Stadium while Jonathan David and LOSC host relegation-threatened Nantes.
