Paris Saint-Germain are still not officially Ligue 1 Uber Eats' 2022-23 champions - despite beating AJ Auxerre (1-2) in R36, so the Kylian Mbappé and Co. will have to wait a bit longer to celebrate a record 11th Ligue 1 Uber Eats title.

It's almost done: a double from Kylian Mbappé gave PSG a 2-1 victory at Auxerre on Sunday, which allowed the capital club to move only a small step away from an 11th French league title.

In the process, the current Ligue 1 Uber Eats top scorer (28 goals) has set a host of  new records. His double after eight minutes of play was the earliest in a Ligue 1 Uber Eats match since the one struck by Yoan Gouffran (1st and 5th minutes) with Bordeaux on 7 May, 2012 in... Auxerre. This is the earliest double scored by a PSG player in the top flight.

Kylian Mbappé scored two goals in the space of two minutes and 14 seconds, the second-fastest double of his career after the one scored in the final of the 2022 World Cup with France against Argentina (1 minute and 35 seconds). It is also the fastest double scored by a Parisian player in Ligue 1 Uber Eats since that of Zlatan Ibrahimovic against OM on 7 October, 2012 (1 minute and 53 seconds).

PSG, officially champions if...

With a six-point lead over Lens and a clearly favourable goal difference (+50 vs +34) with two games left in the season, the capital club are in an ideal position to claim the title and it would take an unlikely scenario to deprive Christophe Galtier's troops of glory.

In fact it would take PSG's suffering two big defeats against Strasbourg (R37) and Clermont (R38) and RC Lens bag big wins with a flood of goals in the last two games. Thus, Paris Saint-Germain officially need only one point in the last two games to mathematically ensure themselves of being first club in history to win 11 Ligue 1 Uber Eats titles.
